What do I need to rent a bike?

ID and a credit card number (or cash) is all we need.

What colour do your bikes have?

Our bikes are blue, which make them easy to recognise in a crowded place. Blue bikes are also not interesting for thieves, since they stand out. Amsterdam has more than 800.000 bikes, of which mostly are anonymous black. The disadvantage for black bikes is that they are interesting for thieves and it is hard to find your bike back in crowded places.

What does the insurance cover?

The insurance covers theft. We offer free insurance, where other bike rental shops charge you extra for the insurance.

Is it possible to pay with cash in your shop?

Yes, this is possible. You can choose this payment method at the checkout.

Can I ride a regular bike with two people?

No, this is not allowed, the luggage carrier has a maximum weight of 15kg.
You can book a tandem to ride one bike with two people.

Can I cancel my booking?

We have a cancellation period of 72 hours, if you cancel your booking within 72 hours we will charge you the full amount. If you cancel before 72 hours, you are not charged anything.

Can I park everywhere in Amsterdam?

No. But the main squares have special bike areas where you can park. You always get two strong locks too.

Are you opened everyday?

We are opened 365 days in the year.

What happens if it rains?

We are still open if it rains and we offer poncho’s in our shops.

Do the prices for the tours include the cost of a guide?

Yes, the tour prices includes the bikes and your personal guide.

Do you provide locks with the bikes?

Yes, every bike is provided with two strong locks.

Do you provide helmets?

We offer helmets for a small extra charge. They are not required by Dutch law, but always available if you prefer extra protection.

Do you offer group discounts?

If your group consists of more than 10 people, please send us a message so we can offer you a customised deal.
